Dean Shahan, CFP®, joined CapWealth in 2025 as Executive Vice President and Financial Advisor. He brings specialized expertise in retirement planning and holistic wealth management, enhancing the firm’s ability to serve high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families with clarity and confidence.
Prior to CapWealth, Dean was a Financial Advisor at SageSpring Wealth Planners, where he developed comprehensive strategies in investment planning, estate and education planning, and risk management. With a background in serving family office clients, his consultative, relationship-centered approach aligns closely with CapWealth’s mission of delivering deeply personalized and proactive financial guidance.
A native of Nashville, Tenn., Dean earned a BBA in finance and marketing from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee. He holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation. In his free time, Dean enjoys spending time with his wife and child and watching Ohio State football.
