TIMOTHY PAGLIARA

FOUNDER, CHAIRMAN AND CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER

A long-time veteran of the securities industry, Tim formed CapWealth in Franklin in early 2000 after nearly 20 years of experience in the financial industry. As chairman, his dedicated, strategic leadership is central to CapWealth being one of Tennessee’s leading independent wealth management firms. And as chief investment officer, he is responsible for setting the direction of investment research, asset allocation and risk management, and selecting individual securities for the firm’s investment strategies. During the last 15 years, Tim has been named a top financial advisor in Tennessee numerous times by Barron’s and Forbes.


Tim also founded the St. Joseph’s Teachers College Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports the education and certification of teachers in science and math in Moshi, Tanzania. He has also served on the Chaminade College Preparatory School (St. Louis) Board of Trustees and in various Nashville area leadership positions, including the Heritage Foundation, Battle Ground Academy, Boy Scouts of America, and Saint Thomas Hospital.


He earned his undergraduate and law degrees from St. Louis University. He is also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School Securities Industry Institute and a member of the Tennessee Bar Association.


An avid outdoorsman, skier and hiker, some of his achievements include hiking Mount Everest and climbing Africa’s Mount Kilimanjaro 10 times. He has two children, Travis, a urologic surgeon, and Jennifer, an Executive Vice President and Financial Advisor, also with CapWealth.
